Welding
Welding is part of the Advanced Manufacturing career cluster and prepares students for further education or entry-level jobs in welding. The program follows NCCER standards through a partnership with Build Mississippi. Students learn about the welding industry, safety practices, construction math, hand and power tools, and how to read construction drawings. They also develop skills in communication, employability, materials handling, oxyfuel cutting, SMAW welding, and understanding weld quality. The program also introduces students to organizations like SkillsUSA.
